The End of the Beginning

Sorry I haven't posted recently. I've been kinda preoccupied with finishing off the semester, studying/taking finals, and graduating. I was going to post sooner, but I still have yet to figure out exactly what I'm feeling or how to express my feelings into words that aren't cliche or inadequate. So, I'm going to take some advice from one of my favorite English profs, Dr. Potter: "Then we get to the end, and it's a little bit rough going, so we're going to mostly ignore it." Of course, he was referring to the symbolism at the end of Dante's Inferno, but I think it applies quite nicely to the complex and conflicting emotions I'm experiencing as a college graduate.

So here I am, back at home, sorting through the boxes of my life, trying to make order of the chaos. Things are starting to sort out, though I still have a lot of childhood junk that has accumulated in here that I need to sort through. Jay's graduating this Saturday and I'll finally get to meet his extended family. I also have a nice big stack of books waiting to be read so I can finish up my ACSI accredidation. And I'll start working at Little Arrows Childcare in June, teaching the Preschool 1 class. So I certainly have lots to keep me busy! I will try to be more faithful in updating, especially now that my friends are more scattered and this is an easy way to keep people updated on my life.

If you want to check out official pics of the graduation, www.gcc.edu has some up. See if you can spot me! I'm hopefully going to scan mine in and post them on a website within the next week.
