Well, despite an overall sense of exhaustion, we had some fun times last night. The night started with a trip to PEW to see the student-made movie Silverware. Not only was it a decently professional looking film, but it was also pretty funny! Hosting an all-star cast of English and Theater majors, the spoof of Ocean's Eleven told the tale of how Hicks was cleared out of all 3,000 pieces of silverware in one night, and the masterminds behind the theft. After that, it was time for the first intervis party of the semester. We had about 10 people in here (a pretty full house) watching Gosford Park. It was a typical British film: everyone is cheating at least once on their spouses, the servants know everything, the wealthy are made fun of, someone is killed, everyone is a suspect, the detective is an idiot, and it stops, rather than ends conclusively. After that we had some interesting convos while Brian and Jesse amused themselves with a karate fight between my stuffed animals. All in all, a great start to the semester.
