Well, after quite an eventful week last week (including having my computer crash on me 1 1/2 times and getting #15 out of over 300 numbers for my room draw), I am home for Easter (aka Spring) Break. Today I got my driver's license renewed, which made me feel old. And the picture, of course, came out icky. But I'm going to get the chance to teach Jr. High Algebra this Thursday, which means it's time to refresh my memory on that chapter in Ed Psyc about classroom management and disciplining.

I'm so glad I have friends that understand me!

Sassy E14: so one of my roomy's friends who came over thinks I'm strange
mheist83: why?
Sassy E14: not because I have a giant Heath Ledger poster
Sassy E14: or a large fish card
mheist83: :-D
Sassy E14: or innumerous stuffed animals
Sassy E14: or because of my strange music tastes
mheist83: what's the reason then
Sassy E14: or the fact that my curtains are held together by twistie ties and folded starburst wrappers
mheist83: are they really?
Sassy E14: it's because of those Despair.com quotes on my door
mheist83: i didn't know that
Sassy E14: yup
mheist83: really?
Sassy E14: ya, go figure!
mheist83: that is so strange
mheist83: do you even know the kid
Sassy E14: I mean, if you're going to state the obvious, at least give valid reasons!
Sassy E14: nope
mheist83: :-D
Sassy E14: that's prolly why though....he'd have much better reasons for calling me strange if he really knew me
mheist83: good point
mheist83: he would have reasons like i do
mheist83: just teasing
Sassy E14: it's true!
Sassy E14: I won't deny I'm weird
Sassy E14: a little abnormal
Sassy E14: slightly different
mheist83: i like it! it's what makes you special
Sassy E14: quite unusual
mheist83: :-)
Sassy E14: "interesting"
mheist83: good choice of words
Sassy E14: I like it too...I hate being like everyone else just to make them happy that I fit their standard "norm"
mheist83: way to go!
Sassy E14: :-)

It's amazing how interesting stupid things seem when I'm trying to procrastinate work:

I am 92% addicted to IM
I am 74% Severely addicted to IM
I am 79% Freak
If I was a breakfast cerial, I would be a Poptart
If I was ice cream, I would be vanilla
If I was cheese, I would be gorgonzola
If I was a doughnut, I would be chocolate
If I was a font, I would be "Tfu Tfu" (has anyone even heard of that?!)
If I was an animal cracker, I would be a lion
If I was a fruit, I would be a cherry
If I was a pattern, I'd be camouflage
My inner non-sequitur is a rock star in Dutch
I am 3K% addicted to online tests
My ideal N'Sync boyfriend is Joey
In a past life, I was a craftswoman from West Russia, circa 1400 AD
If I were to kill many many people, I would be a serial killer
And according to one site, my boyfriend and I are expecting a boy, and I should not tell my husband (guess I'm supposed to null out the fact that I don't have a boyfriend or a husband)

"No, Thank You, John" by Christina Rossetti
I never said I loved you, John:
Why will you teaze me day by day,
And wax a weariness to think upon
With always "do" and "pray"?

You know I never loved you, John;
No fault of mine made me your toast:
Why will you haunt me with a face as wan
As shows an hour-old ghost?

I dare say Meg or Moll would take
Pity upon you, if you'd ask:
And pray don't remain single for my sake
Who can't perform that task.

I have no heart?--Perhaps I have not;
But then you're mad to take offence
That I don't give you what I have not got:
Use your own common sense.

Let bygones be bygones:
Don't call me false, who owed not to be true:
I'd rather answer "No" to fifty Johns
Than answer "Yes" to you.

Let's mar our pleasant days no more,
Song-birds of passage, days of youth:
Catch at today, forget the days before:
I'll wink at your untruth.

Let us strike hands as hearty friends;
No more, no less; and friendship's good:
Only don't keep in view ulterior ends,
And points not understood

In open treaty. Rise above
Quibbles and shuffling off and on:
Here's friendship for you if you like; but love,--
No, thank you, John.
